1. What type of paints do you use?
We use only FDA-approved paints designed specifically for the skin, such as SNAZAROO, Mehron, and Ben NYE.
2. Do you have design sheets ?
Yes, the artist will have several idea sheets, but the children are not limited to just those.
3. Are you a clown or magician?
No, we are strictly face painters, but often enough the children will want to watch the other guests get painted. All the face painters at Not Just Faces have educational artistic backgrounds, including visual and performance art, and years of experience with children.
4. How long must I book you ?
You may book a face painter for just one hour, but at a higher rate. Please contact us to receive a quote. You can receive discounts for events 3 hours and over, or if you are a non-profit organization. We can work up to 6 hours.
5. Where are you willing to commute?
Throughout MD, DC, VA and possibly further ( up to 2 hours). A traveling fee may be added depending on your location.
6. For what age range is face painting suitable?
Children aged 4 and older seem to get the most out of face painting. While the face paints are not toxic, we will not paint children under 2. Adults love face painting as well!
7. Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes, the first hour must be paid as a deposit at least 2 weeks before the event to reserve your date. You can pay with a check or PAYPAL. If another client requests that same date and time, we will contact you. In this case, we will hold your date one week to receive the deposit. The remainder will be due at the end of your event.
8. Do I have to book you two weeks in advance?
No, if your date is available, you will be charged the same rates, but the deposit must be paid via PAYPAL with a credit card. The remainder will be due at the end of your event.
9. Will I receive a refund of the deposit if the event is canceled?
No, but you can use it as credit to a future event.
10. Will I receive a refund if the face painter does not show?
YES, of course. This has not happened yet.
